On 24th September, 30 Euston Square hosted a vibrant showcase, bringing together corporate PAs and agents for an afternoon of learning, networking, and sustainable best practices. The event, titled ‘Sustainability Meets Style & Self’, highlighted the venue’s commitment to eco-friendly event management, sustainable catering, and community engagement.

Sustainable Practices in Action

The showcase offered guests a taste of 30 Euston Square’s award-winning hospitality, recognised for Best Venue, Best Customer Service, and Best Catering. Attendees from various sectors enjoyed delicious food and drink, along with a series of insightful talks designed to inspire personal impact and promote sustainable event practices.

The speaker lineup included notable figures such as Tiffanie Darke, CEO of Smart Works, image consultant Nevo Burrell, Charmian Hislop, co-founder of The PA Club, and Matt Grey, CEO of event:decision. Luiz Mazzari, general manager at 30 Euston Square, was in full voice on a panel session as he shared the actions and initiatives that the venue undertakes to appeal to event organisers who put sustainable as a top criterion of choice.

Supporting Smart Works

As part of the event’s focus on social impact, Smart Works was chosen as the charity partner, with attendees invited to donate a piece of new or pre-loved work-wear, handbag, or shoes in exchange for entry. These contributions will be given to unemployed women preparing for job interviews, helping them boost their confidence and secure employment through clothing and coaching.

Thoughtful, Sustainable Branding

The entire event experience was infused with sustainability, from the eco-friendly custom vinyl graphics to digital signage. Guests enjoyed Searcys’ own-label English sparkling wine, sourced from Searcys Guildford vineyard, alongside a variety of low- and no-alcohol options. Theatre-style food stations added flair, featuring bowl foods inspired by Chinese, Indian, and Italian cuisines, showcasing the venue’s sustainable food program. Ingredients were sourced from British meat and poultry farms, with a focus on regenerative farms. Seasonal fruit and vegetables were the order of the day, along with British-milled flour, all served on porcelain crockery with metal cutlery, reflecting the event’s sustainable focus.

Reflecting on the Event

CJ Alves, Head of Sales, Events, and Marketing at 30 Euston Square, commented: “Sustainability Meets Style & Self was a fantastic afternoon of inspiring talks and practical learnings. We hope attendees walked away from the event feeling empowered and armed with new ideas on how to approach both their personal style and professional lives with more confidence and a drive to be more sustainable. Partnering with Smart Works was a great way for us to demonstrate the importance of a circular economy, while also enabling everyone involved with the event to make a direct, positive impact to those in need.”

With a commitment to sustainability and community impact, 30 Euston Square not only sets the standard for eco-conscious events, but also supports meaningful causes like Smart Works, making a lasting difference both locally and beyond.
