We have hosted award ceremonies and graduation events for years, from intimate celebrations for 50 to full-scale gala evenings for 300. Whether you are planning a black-tie awards dinner, an industry recognition ceremony, or a graduation event for your students and their families, the building and the team are set up to make it work.
Most awards evenings have a natural shape to them. Guests arrive and gather for drinks, move through to a seated dinner, and then the ceremony, speeches and awards bring the evening to a close. Getting that flow right is one of the things that makes the difference between a night people talk about and one they forget.
We will work with you on your running order early in the planning process. A typical evening at 30 Euston Square might start with a champagne reception in the State Rooms or on the Rooftop Terrace, followed by a gala dinner with the award presentations woven through the courses, before finishing with speeches and networking.
If you need a dedicated registration area for guest check-in, a green room for presenters and winners, a separate space for photography, or a private area for VIPs and sponsors, we will factor all of that into the layout plan. Nothing has to be improvised on the night.

Awards evenings have a lot of moving parts. Presentation slides, winner video reels, live acceptance speeches, trophy reveals, mood lighting that shifts as the evening progresses. Our technical team is on hand to manage all of it.
The Auditorium has a Sony 4K cinema laser projection system, Dolby Atmos surround sound and an 8-screen HD video wall, with in-house AV support throughout the event. Multiple digital branding opportunities mean sponsor logos and award-category graphics can display across screens simultaneously. We run technical rehearsals in advance so that every cue, every clip and every slide transition is confirmed before your guests arrive.
For hybrid events, we can broadcast your ceremony live so that nominees or guests who cannot attend in person can follow the awards as they happen. We will talk through your technical requirements during planning and make sure the right equipment and crew are in place well before the day.
The food and drink are as much a part of the night as the awards themselves. Searcys, our catering partner at 30 Euston Square, builds menus around your event, whether that means a champagne and canapé reception on arrival, a three-course gala dinner, or a celebration drinks reception to close the evening.
Menus are tailored to your brief and can accommodate dietary requirements across large groups without compromising on the quality of what is on the plate. Searcys uses seasonal, responsibly sourced British ingredients throughout, and will work with you directly on the food and drink side so that the catering holds up to the standard of everything else on the night.

30 Euston Square is less than five minutes on foot from Euston and King’s Cross stations, two of London’s main intercity rail hubs. For guests travelling from Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh or beyond, it removes one of the most common logistical headaches from the evening.
Euston Square and Warren Street underground stations are also nearby. For awards nights where your guest list spans the country, the location is a genuine practical advantage.
How many guests can you accommodate for an awards ceremony?
We can host award ceremonies and graduation events for between 50 and 300 guests, depending on the format. The Auditorium holds up to 300 in theatre-style seating, while the Euston Room and Stephenson Room each accommodate up to 160 for a seated dinner. For arrival receptions and post-ceremony drinks, the State Rooms and Rooftop Terrace can each hold up to 230 guests, and the Exhibition Hall accommodates up to 300 for a standing reception.
Do you have AV and staging facilities for award presentations?
The Auditorium is equipped with a Sony 4K digital cinema laser projection system, Dolby Atmos surround sound, an 8-screen HD video wall, show lighting and full in-house technical support on the day. Multiple digital branding opportunities allow sponsor logos and award-category graphics to display across screens throughout the evening. We offer technical rehearsal time before the event to make sure everything runs to plan. Other rooms, including the Euston Room and Stephenson Room, have built-in AV and 80″ 4K HD relay screens.
Can you host the full evening, from reception to dinner to ceremony?
Yes. Most awards evenings at 30 Euston Square move through several spaces during the course of the night: a drinks reception in the State Rooms, Exhibition Hall or on the Rooftop Terrace; a gala dinner in one of the larger event rooms; and a ceremony in the Auditorium or within the dining space itself. We will help you plan the flow and make sure each space is set up accordingly, including a dedicated registration area, green room, cloakroom and any sponsor or photography areas you need.
Do you have on-site accommodation for guests?
Yes. 30 Euston Square has 41 boutique bedrooms on site, available exclusively to event guests and members. Rooms include en-suite facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV and air conditioning. A hot buffet breakfast is included. Rates start from £167.50 + VAT per room. Ask our events team about availability when you enquire.
